Kailyn had a Sunday School lessons on the 10 Commandments recently. We were taking about them afterwards and our conversation turned to the rules at our house.
They started naming our rules and I quick grabbed a paper and jotted them down. Today I found the paper as I was going through the endless piles of papers that collect around the house. It is interesting to hear what stands out to your kids. So here is Javin and Kailyn's version of the 12 Peck Commandments (they took turns submitting entries).
- Love God with all your heart.
- Love your neighbor as yourself and be kind.
- Don't poo in your panties. (Kailyn)
- Eat with your mouth closed.
- Pee only in the potty. (she was on a roll)
- No jumping on the furniture.
- No hitting, kicking or biting.
- No banging the bar stool on the counter.
- No saying "stupid".
- No climbing on top of the play set.
- No climbing up the slide.
- Be kind to the dog.
Javin's version of the Statue of Liberty.

Eugene
Danielle, I don't know any Hershbergers from Canton. Sorry!
You know, I keep thinking about one of your overnighters. The thing is, I can't always conjure up the creative juices when I want them. It comes and goes as it pleases and I am just a servant to it :)
This must be why artists are always starving, eh?
I love it! So impressive to see they got the first things first (Loving God and each other). You're a superb mom, Angie! Rachel M
